By accessing or using Agreement.best (operated by Janu Bhai Consultancy), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must refrain from using the website and its template generation services.
2. Statutory Notice: Not Legal Advice
IMPORTANT STATUTORY DISCLAIMER:
Agreement.best provides standardized administrative document templates, drafting engines, and guidance for common Indian legal instruments (including rental deeds, commercial contracts, freelance agreements, affidavits, and declarations).
The platform and its contents do not constitute formal legal counsel, statutory attorney representation, or an advocate-client relationship. Laws vary across Indian states and union territories. For complex transactions, high-value commercial agreements, or contentious disputes, users should obtain tailored legal counsel from an enrolled advocate of the Bar Council.
3. Stamp Duty and Registration Compliance
Under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, State-specific Stamp Acts (such as Maharashtra Stamp Act, Karnataka Stamp Act, Delhi Stamp Rules), and the Registration Act, 1908:
- Certain agreements (e.g. lease deeds exceeding 11 months, property sales, powers of attorney, trust deeds) require mandatory stamping on e-stamp paper and compulsory registration before the Sub-Registrar of Assurances.
- Agreement.best provides standard formatted text. The responsibility to execute the document on non-judicial stamp paper of appropriate denomination rests solely with the executing parties.
4. User Conduct and Integrity
You agree not to utilize Agreement.best to generate instruments intended for fraudulent conveyance, forgery, extortion, deceptive claims, or unlawful activities under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) or applicable penal statutes.
5. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
The software, UI design, layout, code, and structured drafting metadata of Agreement.best are the exclusive intellectual property of Janu Bhai Consultancy.
Conversely, all specific contractual data, party particulars, and proprietary deal terms you input into documents belong entirely to you. You maintain unrestricted ownership to print, sign, execute, and store your generated contracts.
6. Limitation of Liability and Jurisdiction
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Janu Bhai Consultancy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your reliance on template phrasing or any failure of execution between contracting parties.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any legal dispute or proceeding arising out of or related to Agreement.best shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in New Delhi, India.
