PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: October 2026 | Governing Law: Republic of India

1. Core Principle: Local-First Document Privacy

Agreement.best operates on an explicit local-first privacy standard. When you draft agreements, affidavits, or declarations on this platform, the form data is rendered and previewed directly inside your web browser.

We do not sell, rent, commercialize, or inspect the private clauses, financial terms, or party identities inserted into your legal documents.

2. Statutory Framework and Compliance

This Privacy Policy is formulated pursuant to Rule 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (SPDI Rules) under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and complies with the data fiduciary obligations established by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Janu Bhai Consultancy serves as the Data Fiduciary for Agreement.best, maintaining its administrative headquarters at B-80, Ground Floor, Street 8, Ghaffar Manzil, Jamia Nagar, Okhla, New Delhi 110025, India.

3. Information Collected and Usage

  • Unauthenticated Users: You may draft, preview, and generate print-ready PDFs without creating an account. In this mode, document state is held in your browser session and is never persisted to our databases.
  • Authenticated Users (Optional Cloud Sync): If you choose to log in via SMS OTP or Google Sign-In, we store your authenticated identifier (UID, phone number or email) alongside the serialized template variables you explicitly choose to save in “My Documents”.
  • Server-Side Isolation: Cloud documents are cryptographically tied to your UID. Strict Firestore Security Rules prevent other users or unauthenticated clients from accessing your saved drafts.
  • Telemetry and Ad Serving: We use PostHog to measure product events such as page views and completed actions. It is configured to mask text and form inputs, so it does not record document clauses or other typed content. We may deploy Google AdSense to sustain free access to our statutory template repository. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You hold total control over saved legal drafts. At any time, authenticated users can permanently remove any stored document from the “Saved Documents” dashboard. When you execute a deletion, the document record is immediately purged from our active Firestore database.

5. Grievance Redressal and Contact

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, any concerns regarding data handling or privacy may be addressed to our Grievance Officer:
